Anvader

Anvadar is a vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up with an emphasis on procedural level generation. Three pre-defined stages are included, but it is possible to generate more of them by entering a seed of up to 7 digits - for a total of ten million possible levels. On top of that, a new 'daily challenge' level becomes available every 24 hours; the score achieved here can be submitted to a global online ranking.

The levels vary in length and difficulty, as indicated by the text shown on start: a 'Plum' stage is relatively short/easy, 'Bamboo' is somewhere in the middle, and 'Pine' is the hardest. The opposition comes in many forms - single ships, squads, swarms, mines and asteroids; each enemy type has multiple color/size variants (which differ in toughness).

Three weapon types are at your disposal, selectable only by picking up numbered capsules: #1 (default) deals out spread shots, #2 concentrates fire straight ahead, and #3 activates a pair of auto-aiming turrets. Killing enemies will gradually level up your firepower, from the puny starting level of 0 up to the near-invincible 20.
