Interplay To Release A Special Edition Of The Smash Hit Earthworm Jim For SEGA CD (Special Edition Includes Requested Features From Players)

Irvine, California - January 6, 1995 - Interplay Productions announced today an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement with Shiny Entertainment of Laguna Beach, California to release a Special Edition of Earthworm Jim for SEGA CD. Earthworm Jim is one of the most critically acclaimed new titles for SEGA Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System worldwide. Interplay produces and distributes entertainment and educational software. Shiny Entertainment designs and produces entertainment software.

In Activision's Earthworm Jim, players kick mutant butt as Jim, a regular worm who is endowed with superpowers when a high-tech cybernetics space suit falls out of the sky and lands on him. On his way to save Princess What's-Her- Name, Jim must slip, slide, squirm and crawl through a variety of warped worlds, from New Junk City to Snot-A-Problem.

A whole host of of buggin' characters try to get the worm: there's Major Mucus, who no tissue is big enough to sop up; Psy-Crow, the intergalactic bounty hunter who's short a few 12-step nonviolence programs; and the ultimate nemesis, Queen Slug-for-a-Butt who is trying to steal Jim's suit. It's up to you to guide the slender superhero on to victory!
