When the game starts up it expects the player to choose either the default character or create their own. All the menu screens are very dark in this game
This is the character configuration screen. The characters name is entered in the top right at this point
Having created or selected a character the game allows the player access to the main menu screen
The game has many customisable options from which location the match is played in, which set of rules, how many games per set and how many sets per match
Opponents can be chosen from preset players in three difficulty groups
After all that set up it's no surprise that the game has some more loading to do
The start of the game. This multi-directional purple arrow is how the game lets the player know that they can position the cue ball anywhere by holding the right mouse button
An in-game screen shot. Shots are taken by pulling back the mouse and rapidly moving it forward
The use of background characters is a nice touch
there is some in-game help text that explains the action keys but
The player's point of view is linked to the mouse movement so it is easy to follow the action. An option when the game starts allows for perspective correction, not used in these screen shots
This is the view when playing a shot that's tight against the cushion
It is possible to zoom in on a shot
This is far as the zoom out feature goes
Messages about foul shots are displayed like this. The opponent in this game is an amateur and makes his fair share of mistakes
Moby lost the first game of a 3 game match and gets to break in game 2
Both players use the rest automatically
Game Over!
Here's another game customisation menu, but there's more ....
... such as the multi-player options ...
.... and don't forget there's an amateur and a pro tournament to play in ....
... and the training options which can be played in any location. Here the ball is being spotted in Ed's Pool Hall.
