The Prince fights a floating head
Background story
Background story: Marrying the princess
Background story: Hey! This guy looks just like me! What's going on?
Background story: Bad looks from the princess and Sultan...
A magic carpet could be useful, but how can the Prince get it animated?...
It worked! We're arriving at the game's next stage.
Riding the enchanted horse to the fortress.
A level start in the game's next section.
The writing on the wall is actually a clue: the Prince has to die (to let a Birdman kill him and then wait for a while) to gain the titular "shadow and the flame".
Another enchanted horse has turned into a statue after having its mission fulfilled.
Dropping one level down - now enter the tower window to meet Jaffar...
The mysterious chessboard level - you need to beat Jaffar here. And in this game you can't access the ending sequence if you use an ordinary cheat (pressing K) to kill him.
The game also has a more sophisticated "cheat", which just makes use of a bug. To try it, enter the doppelgänger room in normal mode and turn into the flaming shadow...
...after you have Jaffar blocked. Didn't work for me. The normal solution: chase after him to shorten the distance between both of you and hit him with a blue fireball.
If you manage to hit Jaffar, you are suddenly back to the palace corridor.
The ending sequence - maybe a little too cute, but deserved anyway.
