PlayStation 2 screenshots
After the usual logos have been displayed the game runs through an animated sequence starting with this HUD screen
The introduction continues with these manned robots dropping from aircraft and then engaging in some fast and furious action to the accompaniment of a screaming rock track
The introduction ends in a blaze of fire
The main menu.
The blue device in the centre revolves slowly
The game configuration controls. The background piano music in these screens is really relaxing
The background story of the game
Before the game can be played a new pilot must be created. Before that can happen the memory card usage must be established
Creating a new pilot.
The game allows long names with upper case, lower case and special characters but the letter selection process is a bit clumsy
The first mission is a training mission, shooting drones on a U.S. base in Guam
Mission one may only be a training mission but there are seven screens of instructions
Mission One: Training Mission
The mission is about to start. This is the beast we'll be piloting
Mission One: Training Mission
The mission has started. There's a short animation showing the machine leave the base then the game switches to a 1st person view
Mission One: Training Mission
The mission begins when the game switches to 1st person view. We're under fire immediately
Mission One: Training Mission
There are drones all over the place. This game has a steep learning curve. No time to stand and look around at all!
Mission One: Training Mission
This is a ten minute mission, we lasted just two minutes and killed three drones out of thirty.
