Roadside Assistance Simulator
Description
In Roadside Assistance Simulator, the player takes the role of a roadside assistance dispatcher in Germany. In this game, Germany is broken up in four regions with a number of districts each - at first the player only manages one district, but over time the responsibility rises. Most of the time is spent on the map screen which shows the active region. Here the player waits until a call for help arrives and dispatches one of the available vehicles (there are four accident types which require different vehicles). The goal is to resolve all problems within the given time limit. After the current mission is done, the vehicle will automatically return to the station to fuel up on gas. However, the player can manually change the orders (and even abort a running deployment), but running out of gas holds penalties. These dispatch phases always run for a month and, if played successfully, unlock a special mission in the end.
In those missions, the player personally responds to an emergency call. The procedure is relatively simple: listening to the client's description of the problem, and clicking on the car parts (e.g. tires or dynamo) to inspect and, if necessary, repair respectively exchange them. The goal is to find repair the faulty part (as well as four small, optional ones) with as few steps as possible. Unnecessary repairs need to be avoided because those have a big negative impact on the points.
After the mission is done, the player unlocks a more regions to take care of as well as more managerial options. Those are accessed on a special screen before starting the next dispatch phase and are represented by buildings: training center (improving the employees' efficiency), communication center (unlocking the possibility to use gas stations or to send the vehicles on patrol where they automatically answer to calls), air ambulance base (advertising campaigns to improve the monthly budget) and purchasing/upgrading vehicles. There are four vehicle types (breakdown assistant cars, tow trucks, helicopters and truck assistance units) which are unlocked over time.
After all upgrades are earned, the game switches to an endless playing mode. The process stays the same, but the pre-defined special missions are replaced with randomly generated ones. The main variable which measures the player's success is the membership count: it directly increases after a job well done (but also decreases after failure).
