Shabby Puppy Luv

The Good
What's good in this game? Just the right amount of colours and textures. Music is okay, but gets samey after a while. The concept of the game is right, just not the way it was implemented. Really not much else to it.

The Bad
Gameplay is repetitive and boring. All you do is earn money, play mini-games for "Very Important Pets" and do it all over again. The controls for the mini-games are fiddly requiring the right amount of pressure on the D-pad and timing on A button, making your fingers sore within minutes. As you get to the higher levels, winning the feeding activity becomes impossible like a rigged game of Mastermind.

Regarding the content of the game, what exactly is this teaching us? With so many negligent owners bringing in cats and dogs which are filthy from head to foot and flea-infested, that's leaving quite the impression. Not to mention that feeding a pet requires random guesses to their dietary requirements, that's sure to make a pet very ill. Also there's no variety in pets, just generic alley cats and bullpups.

The Bottom Line
This game would prove to be a big disappointment to cat and dog lovers alike. There's absolutely nothing that can teach how to care for a pet let alone run a petcare. This is just a tedious business simulation game disguised as a cat and dog spa simulator. It's more fun to play "The Sims" with pets any day.
