Digimon: World Championship is an 2D monster capture and training game played from a bird's-eye perspective. In the game the player gets to participate in the Digimon Championship witch is held every four year.

In the game the player has to raze, train and capture Digimon. The player has to feed his Digimon as well as to clean up their mess and occasionally heal them. New Digimon can be caught in the wild and lured with food. If the Digimon is weakened enough it is transferred to the player. The game contains over 200 Digimon. The player can compete in several different battles. These are: Practice battle, Password battle, Free battle, Multi battle, Title match and Championship.
