So, is this the ultimate Bomberman experience for the Game Boy? For the hardcore gamer, absolutely. Bomberman MAX offers the best the series has had to offer over the last dozen or so years, all while adding some nice extras that make a Bomberman game presentable for the year 2000. The more casual consumer, however, should be a little wary, as you're really getting half a game for the price of one. Also, solo gamers will be frustrated at being unable to complete the game singlehandedly. For latter types of game players, I recommend either Wario Blast or Bomberman GB. For the former, I give Bomberman MAX my enthusiastic endorsement.
