Overall, Astrosmash is a competent shooter with good controls and a fair amount of entertainment value, but it lacks variety.

Astrosmash is fun for a while, but the difficulty doesn't increase fast enough and the game becomes boring after prolonged play. Also, there's only one difficulty level. At least there's an auto-fire feature to save your thumb. Ironically enough, I prefer the Atari 2600 version of this game.
