Amiga version compared to 10-levels DOS version contains 7 levels only. The missing levels are Level 2 - Roar at Monkeys, Level 6 - Hakuna Matata and Level 9 - Simba's Return. Examine all 4 Amiga floppy disks and you'll find these files: Level1, Level3, Level4, Level5, Level7, Level8 and LevelA. As you can see 3 files are missing: Level2, Level6 and Level9. Even the front cover has a sticker with following information: "Please note: Amiga version contains seven levels". My opinion is that publisher of Amiga version didn't want to finance more than 4 disks version so developers were forced to throw away those mentioned levels.
The Windows version of The Lion King was the inspiration for DirectX. It was released with a large line of Compaq computers, but then the system specs were changed at the last minute. The game ceased to work on the computers after the change. To prevent this from happening in the future, Microsoft created DirectX so that applications could run on any computer.
