Redneck Rampage would have been a great buy two years ago when it came out for the PC. I can only imagine how fun it would have been to joke with fellow gamers about the parodies and those redneck jokes that were "in" back then. That Duke Nukem 3D engine would have been much more impressive back then too. Unfortunately, we're coming in on the fun a bit late (like two years). It's still good for a few laughs, but it's terminally stuck between being not modern enough, and not old enough to be a good retro game (hey, a new category!). It was worth the laughs, but only because, as a reviewer, I didn't have to pay $30 for it.

It's not that Redneck Rampage is bad, but more that it's...lacking. It's lacking an instruction manual. It's lacking modern graphics capabilities. It's lacking the ability to remap keys. It's lacking expansion packs. It's lacking...and I hate to say this...it's lacking jokes.
