A fun and easy point-and-click adventure game for kids
The Good
It wasn't overly difficult when I played it as a child, and was a decent introduction to the graphical adventure genre. The artwork is pretty, although I wish higher resolutions were supported.
The Bad
The game is very short, and being locked at 640x480 with no native scaling options makes it difficult to play on a more modern, higher-resolution display. The volume is a bit uneven too, with the narrator and dog being much quieter than Madeline and the other characters. That might not sound very important, but occasionally you need to hear what everyone is saying (even the dog in one musical puzzle) to know what's going on, and keeping the quiet voices audible means making everyone else pretty loud.
The Bottom Line
An easy introduction to graphical adventure games, well suited for children, but a bit too easy to be very engaging for teens and adults.
