IGN (Dec 16, 1998)
All in all, Uprising-X is a title that'll sink in deep after a few levels, and make you want to invite your friends to come over and play on a boring Friday night. Uprising-X retains the crucial PC elements that made it so much fun, and injects action and military might in a PlayStation style that make it a hardcore gamers' delight.
PSX Nation (Dec 20, 1998)
Uprising X is just another title in the sea of PlayStation games. If you were a fan of the PC title take note. Others may want to look towards Uprising X for an action game that offers nice mission based elements. Still, it isn't much more than an average game.
With the exception of the graphics, Uprising X is a very good game, providing enough strategy and tactical planning to elevate it above the status of "just another first-person vehicle shooter". Players who enjoy either action or strategy will most likely enjoy this title.
GameSpot (Jan 05, 1999)
Overall, Uprising X is a game that may not look visually exciting but is extremely challenging and fun. And with five great two-player modes, Uprising X is a whole lot of fun as a multiplayer game. Besides that, the mix of action and strategy is fun, and fans of either genre should take a look.
