Description
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is a remake of
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. The remake features 3D graphics, though the gameplay is largely identical to the 2D platform style of the original. It also adds a Boss Rush mode that unlocks a minigame when completed three times.
The original version of the game as well as
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are included as unlockable content. This version of
Symphony of the Night allows the player to control Maria as the protagonist (like in the earlier Saturn version) and also has new sound effects and voice acting.

Trivia
Intro
Like the "legendary" intro of the TurboGrafx CD version, this 3D remake of Rondo of Blood also received a spoken intro text in German. While the original version was read by one Hans-Günther Claude, the voice actor in the remake is Hans-Dieter Klebsch. Klebsch is professional stage actor known for dubbing Hugh Laurie in the German version of Dr House, among other roles.
The new German intro text, although similar in content, differs from the original version and is grammatically more polished. Here is the remake's German text and a literal translation into English:
