That's an interesting credit! Even without actually using any of his tools, conceding the innovation by the competition instead of just keeping mum while cloning it. Was SSI alone in this recognition? Did they do it out of the grandness of the hearts or were they ducking a lawsuit? How many years until the Ultima look-and-feel became public-domain enough that Lord British no longer got name-checked? 8)
