Description
Trade Empires is a business simulation in the tradition of
Railroad- or
Transport Tycoon. You can recruit merchants, hire caravans and build production sites. Then you'll have to send out your men in order to earn money with the goods produced.
It's also remarkable that the game's not limited to one special scenario - you can either play in 1820 A.D. London, 1255 A.D. Bokhara or 150 B.C. Han Empire, China.

Trivia
Trade Empires was the first game to run on
Frog City Software's AXVI engine. Originally designed for the RTS / RPG hybrid
Pantheon that was cancelled in 2000, it was consequently used in
Trade Empires as a rather small game to make up for the cancellation, and in 2003 also in
Tropico 2: Pirate Cove.
