Defunct Games (Nov 06, 2005)
Darius is a wonderful series, one I would love to be updated, unfortunately shooters aren't as popular as they used to be, a real shame considering that this game is one of the best in the genre.
Raze (May, 1991)
Even with all the weapons, you'll be struggling to keep up with the game. But you just can't put this game down. Its infuriating nature is a contributing factor to this, but more so are the superb graphics which entice and invite you to have just one more go.
Power Play (Jan, 1991)
1UP! (May 09, 2008)
Whether you'll take to Darius Plus really depends on how skilled you are at shooters, and how much time you're willing to invest in improving your skills. If you're easily frustrated, then Darius Plus isn't for you. Unless you're good right off the bat, you'll probably lose all your lives without ever getting past the first stage. But if you enjoy challenging games and want a shooter with a lot of replay value, then this game is a perfect choice.
Video Game Den (Mar 01, 2012)
All in all, Darius Plus is a great conversion and looks amazing, but Super Darius (the CDRom release of Darius) features more bosses, a better soundtrack and a (short) introduction sequence, so there is not much reason to purchase this version unless you really want to play Darius on your portable GT.

I don't know what the Plus is supposed to signify, but I do know you can do a heck of a lot better on the Turbografx.
