SimTower: The Vertical Empire

There is still a lot to this game that I haven't covered, mostly little details that make it even more enjoyable. This game is not one that you will want to play everyday but it is great fun and if you hold on to it is a good game to come back to when you are bored of everything else.

SimTower is wat mij betreft minstens net zo leuk als die andere simspelen van Maxis. Beetje bouwen, beetje afbreken en op mijn nagels bijten van frustratie omdat geen mens mijn doorzonwoningen wil. Als je eenmaal bezig bent hou je waarschijnlijk pas op als je de toren van Babel hebt gebouwd.

Diesmal kann Maxis nur an den Wolken des siebten Spiele-Himmels kratzen. Inständig hoffte ich ja schon auf einen würdigen Thronfolger meines absoluten Lieblingsprogrammes SimCity 2000, doch den Gefallen haben uns die Kalifornier nicht getan.

Ganz klar ist es eines der besseren Maxis-Programme, ohne jedoch die Klasse von SimCity 2000 zu erreichen. Aber mir macht das niedliche SimTower wesentlich mehr Spaß als manche pseudo-komplexe Wirtschaftssimulation Marke "extra dry", bei der es nur um das stoffelige Austarieren von Zahlenkolonien geht.

SimTower is another addictive little sim from the folks at Maxis - but this time, it's a fairly easy habit to kick.

SimTower is a sequel of sorts to SimCity 2000 — it's like zooming in on one of your town's buildings and peeling away a wall. For the first time, it lets you meet your Simcitizens up close and personal (there's even a Stress Indicator to keep you informed of their mental health). Like all the Sims, its interface is user-friendly, its complexity impressive, and its graphics deeply cute. Still, this game may be a tad too obsessive even for hardcore Simians. After hours of play, I still hadn't mastered the elevator controls and most of my Simtenants were so stressed out I kept looking for a Decaffeinate button. My guess is Trump himself couldn't keep this property running.
