Going Forward
Description
Thinking back to a bad college job the designer had once had, this game puts the player in a conversation tree with an employer whose embrace of corporate culture buzzwords and neologisms has gone off the deep end. Over successive rounds, the employer will ask the player a question about entrepreneurial management and human resources, each one less intelligible than the last. Each question will have four increasingly-garbled potential answers for the player to choose from, one of which leads to a promotion and three of which lead to a pink slip. A position atop the corporate ladder as CEO awaits successful players, but at what horrible cost?

Trivia
Development and release
The game was prototyped in Ren'Py (Terry's first experience with that system) for Glorious Trainwrecks' June 2010 "Klik of the Month" challenge; five months later, a somewhat more multimedia-enhanced version was released in Flash, reusing the CYOA framework he had just devised for Phobiaphobiaphobia immediately prior, for the Hallowe'en 2010 KOTM.
