Curly's World Of Freeware
Once again Mark Pay proves why his games are well known with Freeware fans. The writing alone is good enough to be published as a animated book, and the graphics and gameplay supports this to an extreme extent. Of course there are repetitive elements in this game but that comes with the genre, and he gets something else out of this as the abilities build on, and you can choose different characters and get a somewhat new game next time around. The difficulty level is spot on so far (I played till level 5 so far), and I only had to do 3 runs over the same field to power level a little. And you cannot get past this game without noticing the soundtrack which is amazing! Could have been stolen from some Hollywood movie, but we know it isn't!
V nadprůměrné herní délce příběhu se pokocháte skvělým soundtrackem, na němž odvedl skvělou práci Josh Whelchel a grafickému podání také nelze než smeknout. Existuje nějaký důvod, proč si The Spirit Engine 2 nezaslouží plný počet bodů? Podle mě ne! Tečka.
The Spirit Engine 2 does just about everything right. The graphics and animations are marvelous with interesting character designs, NPCs, monsters and backgrounds bringing to life vibrant and compelling scenery and environments. The music and audio are some of the best you'll find in a game anywhere.
...and I offer you my opinion as a veteran in the RPG industry: this game is tons of fun. Yes, it's short. Yes, the graphics are dated. But for such a small development staff, and considering how perfectly they managed to balance the action with the plot, I don't see why you wouldn't at least want to try the game. Hopefully, TSE2 receives enough support that a third game will come earlier than 2013.
PC Gameplay (Benelux)
