Biography edit · view history

Ian studied Aeronautical Engineering at Bristol University and was awarded his honours degree in 1985. He was part of a research team at British Aerospace before co-founding Simis Limited in 1989. In 1991, Ian became responsible for Simis Medical Imaging Limited, a subsidiary of Simis Limited, developing medical imaging software and oversaw its growth and successful trade sale to one of its major customers in 1996.

From 1996 to 1998, Ian was responsible for production at Simis. During that time, the facility moved from developing one or two PC titles at any one time to multiple titles in simultaneous development across PC and console platforms. In 1998, with Jonathan Newth, Ian led a management buy out of the studio to form Kuju. Since then, Ian has taken responsibility for business development at Kuju. This has covered the creation of new publisher relationships, the overall creative direction for Kuju and the establishment of the Online and Wireless division. Ian is a Chartered Engineer and is also the Chairman of developer trade body TIGA.
