Patrick Gilmore

Patrick Gilmore is Vice President of Studios for Foundation 9 Entertainment, overseeing the Double Helix studio. Patrick began his career in interactive in 1989 at the Walt Disney Company, where he built Disney’s first internal game teams and led the completion of innovative original projects like Coaster, Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow, and Gargoyles. Under Disney’s co-development model, he produced the Aladdin video game with Virgin Interactive, which set a benchmark for animation quality. Gilmore’s subsequent projects with Disney continued to raise the standard set by Aladdin. In 1996, Gilmore joined Dreamworks Interactive, a division of Dreamworks SKG, the entertainment company founded by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen. There, in addition to overseeing all game development for consoles and producing successful titles based upon The Lost World and Small Soldiers, Gilmore executive produced Medal of Honor, which has gone on to be one of the most successful game franchises in history. In 2000, Gilmore moved away from games to co-direct the animated feature Sinbad, Legend of the Seven Seas with Tim Johnson for Dreamworks Animation. Following up the film, he wrote and directed the animated short, Vacation on Cyclops Island, which, in a DVD first, allowed users to interactively choose their own path through parallel stories in an all new Sinbad adventure. Returning to games in 2003, Gilmore joined Electronic Arts, which had become the new home for the Medal of Honor property. There, he provided critical production support for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent and Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, before returning to the helm of the Medal of Honor franchise to produce Medal of Honor Airborne and an as-yet unannounced AAA fps title. In addition to his work in interactive, Gilmore is a member of the Writer’s Guild, and the author of several independent screenplays, as well as scripts for Fox Television, the Sci Fi Channel and Hearst Entertainment.
