Double Helix is a development studio located in Irvine, California (USA). It was established on 9 October 2007 when Foundation 9 Entertainment announced to merge The Collective and Shiny Entertainment into a new outfit. The company received its name, selected from a pool of submissions from the team members, on 27 March 2008.

On 5th February 2014 Amazon confirmed to have acquired the company. At the time the studio was working on the titles Dirty Harry and Harker, but most likely they will not be pursued.
