After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Physics in 1990, Hudson Piehl joined Stormfront Studios as part of the technical team, serving as the lead programmer and later team lead on Tony La Russo Baseball titles. He would later lead development at Stormfront on PC versions of EA Sports titles: Madden NFL, NASCAR and Tiger Woods Golf 2001 for the PSX. Hudson also served as Executive Producer on Lord of the Rings from Electronic Arts, based on the popular film from New Line Cinema.

After departing Stormfront in 2003, Hudson joined Atari as an Executive Producer in the Beverly, Massachusetts publishing studio. In 2006, Hudson was promoted to Vice President of Production for Atari, Inc.
