Biography edit · view history
Dave Strang started out in the Computer Industry in 1997 when he joined Taiwanese-based EFA Corporation and its USA-based subsidiary Shark Multimedia, focusing on Hardware and Software QA on PC Motherboards, Sound Cards, Modems, and Telephony Software.
Dave joined Accolade/Infogrames/Atari in 1999 as a Compatibility Tester until he was promoted in late 1999 to the Supervisor of the Compatibility Lab in the USA. In 2003 he also took on supervision of a third of the QA team in addition to the Compatibility Lab, later this was expanded to half of the QA team based in the USA.
In 2004 Dave was promoted to manage the USA-based Engineering Services team, handing off QA supervision while maintaining management of the Compatibility Lab until his departure from the company in 2013. As the Engineering Services Manager he was responsible for maintaining the archive of all game masters, source code, code submission to Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony, and also the management of the California studio's IT infrastructure. It was in this role that he reduced the number of hardware servers from 2 full racks with over a dozen servers to just a half rack utilizing a couple of VMWare-based servers and a few legacy hardware servers; improving efficiency while also reducing costs of IT-related expenses.
Dave subsequently joined ARX as a Post Sales Engineer in 2013, transitioning into the world of Digital Signatures and after a short time taking on Pre Sales Engineering duties as well. In 2014 ARX was acquired by DocuSign and Dave is now an Enterprise Solutions Engineer working on both Digital and Electronic Signatures solutions, supporting the Enterprise Sales team in a variety of market verticals.
