A co-founder of Pulse Entertainment, Young Harvill was Chief Technology Officer for the company and responsible for the vision behind the architecture of Pulse Entertainment's Pulse Creator, the next-generation 3D character authoring solution and the Pulse Player rendering technology.

Always fascinated with the confluence of light and vision, Harvill joined Pulse Entertainment from Macromedia, where his pioneering work developing Swivel 3D and Macromodel earned him the honor of "Chief Scientist and Fellow."

Prior to his time at Macromedia, Harvill co-developed the pioneering Data Glove and other virtual reality 3D software solutions at VPL Research. While working with NASA, Harvill developed the first commercial VR system, a product that could actually incorporate multiple virtual participants.

In addition to his technical talents, Harvill holds a Masters of Fine Arts from Stanford University, where he concentrated on printmaking and holography, receiving a fellowship from the University for his work.
