John began writing Integrated Circuit CAD software for Texas Instruments in 1982. In 1989 he moved to Altsys Corporation, and worked developing FreeHand, licensed to Aldus Corp. From 1995-2001 he worked on Macromedia Fireworks, a web graphics tool. In 2001 John joined Electronic Arts, and was lead programmer on Generals and Battle for Middle Earth. John now works as an independent contractor doing software development for video games.
