Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX (PlayStation)

Single player is good, but 2 player... poor.

The Good
The unique things that I like this game for is the good gameplay that allows you to make a good trick variety due to the trick modifier so you can pull harder tricks. The graphics are good for a 32-bit game; you can choose different outfits for your rider, you stop grinding instead of bail when your rider lose balance and the funny side is when you complete challenges and medals to unlock bikes and outfits in the proquest mode with challenging ones; better than Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX.

The Bad
It would have been good for me if this game has the 2 player simultaneous games, it didn't have that, instead it has the 2 alternate player games, this isn't good; there are only four challenges (with three different difficulty levels) in the proquest mode and some riders have more cheats than ending movies, these are the bad-side reasons that make the game poor.

The Bottom Line
If you want to play something more funny than Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX for a single player, I recommend you this game; but if you wanna play with a friend, I recommend another game better than this.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (PlayStation 2)

PS one is good, but in PS2 is better!

The Good
The graphics and animation speed of the game are outstanding. Not only this, the gameplay is outstanding too, so you can pass countless hours of gameplay not only for career mode unlocking cheats. Also the Create-a-Skater mode features female skaters and this reminds me to create a superstar mode in WWF Smackdown 2. There are hidden tricks to extend grinding combo, pivots during manuals and the all new revert. Not only this, you can earn bonus points by impressing the spectators in the levels, and there are moving vehicles in some levels, for example the ice cream van is moving in Suburbia level but in the PS one version it's still parked, and in the Los Angeles level there are vehicles too. There are the reasons why I love this port.

The Bad
The rail and manual balance doesn't reset when you apply the revert and the same revert causes slow down, these are the bad sides.

The Bottom Line
If you have a PS2 and you're looking for a good skateboarding game, I recommend this port, you'll enjoy it.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (PlayStation)

Even if this port is poor, this game is good.

The Good
The gameplay is good so the all new revert makes you continue the combo and the balance resets when you make it; also during a combo, you can charge the special bar and make special tricks even in your first combo, this is the reason because I like this game.

The Bad
There's no blood when you bail and there elements from THPS 2 that must not be in this game like the big drop or the same game and menu SFX, there are the bad side reasons.

The Bottom Line
Even the bad things of the game, this is a good option if you don't have a 6th generation console.

CTR: Crash Team Racing (PlayStation)

This game is more than Mario Kart 64.

The Good
The gameplay is outstanding so you can pass countless hours of gameplay not only on cup mode similar to Grand Prix in Mario Kart 64, but also in the adventure mode that Mario Kart 64 didn't include it but Diddy Kong Racing include it, adds it the entertaining side to the game and this is the reason because I love this game.

This is not the beginning, also the multiplayer mode is outstanding too so you can do it great with your friends not only in the versus race, also the battle mode is pretty good too because has not only free-for-all battle, also you can play a 2 on 2 team battle or a handicap battle too, thing that Mario Kart 64 didn't include it and this is the other reason because I love this game.

The Bad
It was good for me if the graphics and character textures was similar to Mario Kart 64, this is the bad side reason.

The Bottom Line
If you're looking for a good PlayStation racing game for a high dose of fun and racing action, this game is your best choice, it has not only Mario Kart 64, also has something of Diddy Kong Racing.
