Overview edit · view history

Yuke's is a Japanese game development studio founded by Yukinori Taniguchi in 1993. Its name is derived from his high school nickname.

The company's first game was Hermie Hopperhead: Scrap Panic on the PlayStation and their first wrestling game was Toukon Retsuden, which was one of the first wrestling games to use 3D characters. Toukon Retsuden was a big hit in Japan which led to a sequel and eventually a multi-platform series.

Yuke's became involved in American wrestling, the WWF/WWE Smackdown series, after a meeting between THQ's president Brian Farrell at an E3 convention.
