Overview edit · view history
Atlus Kansai Development Office (アトラス大阪開発室) was a branch office of Atlus in the Kansai region of Japan that was established around 1993. The studio appears to have been headed by Keiko Iju who had previously worked at SNK; it was best known for developing the Power Instinct series.
The studio was closed by Atlus at the end of 1997 after development on Princess Crown was completed. Keiko Iju started Noise Factory shortly thereafter, and much of the Power Instinct team joined that company; most of the Princess Crown staff was hired by Racdym. Several years later, Princess Crown director George Kamitani started the company now known as Vanillaware which includes many former Atlus Kansai staff.
