Overview edit · view history
Brain Box Games was a small division of Digital Extremes' Toronto team that focused on developing budget games. Brain Box was originally the name given to the Toronto team, founded in 2001, but was later given to this small division. The Toronto team has since been renamed Digital Extremes Toronto, while Digital Extremes' primary studio in London was renamed Digital Extremes London.
The Brain Box division was founded in 2002 by Josh Druckman. Brain Box created Desert Thunder, Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam and Day of the Zombie (later renamed to Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green).
In 2005, Digital Extremes merged their London and Toronto studios together to work together on WarPath and Dark Sector. As Brain Box was owned by Digital Extremes' Toronto studio, the division was merged into Digital Extremes.
