Overview edit · view history

Immersion Software & Graphics Ltda. (Immersion Games) was a Colombian game development studio. It was founded in 2003 by Julián Andres Castillo, José Miguel Posada, Eivar Rojas Castro and Ernesto Gálvez. The studio created six games for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and debuted in May 2006 with the tech demo CellFactor: Combat Training to showcase the Ageia's PhysX chipset. From that tech demo two first-person shooters were developed: CellFactor: Revolution (2007) and CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars (2009). The studio also created two monster truck racing games: Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia (2007) and Monster Madness: Grave Danger (2008). In 2007 a separate division was established in Mexico, called Immersion Games Mexico. The studio's final title was the Mexican wrestling game Lucha Libre AAA: Héroes del Ring (2010).

It is not clear when the company was closed. Three of the founders (Julián Andres Castillo, José Miguel Posada and Eivar Rojas Castro) established the Colombian game development studio Efecto Studios in March 2011. The final founder Ernesto Gálvez appears to have stayed with the company until September 2012. He now works for the software company Codessa. The Mexican branch split off and became independent in early 2010. They now go by the name Larva Game Studios.
