Overview edit · view history

Blizzard Entertainment S.A.S. was established in Paris, France, in 2004 under the name of Blizzard Entertainment Europe by parent company Blizzard Entertainment Inc., as a customer support division.

The initial European Blizzard Entertainment team was made up of more than 10 nationalities and was responsible for all aspects of game and platform operations. This included localised offline customer support, community management, and in-game support through French, German and English speaking game masters. In addition, the local web, marketing and communications teams provided support and tools for the community, trade and press.

World of Warcraft was the first non-licensed MMORPG in Europe to have the support of a dedicated local team from this location.

In April 2009 the company name changed to Blizzard Entertainment SAS when all European publishing and distribution operations moved from the United States to this location.

In 2011, this division employs over 1,500 people.
