Game Freak, Inc. is the Japanese video game developer behind the Pokémon RPGs, as well as several other games. Although primarily working with Nintendo, Game Freak is an independent company and has occasionally worked with other publishers on non-Nintendo platforms. The company was founded on April 26, 1989 by Satoshi Tajiri.
