Overview edit · view history

Rocksteady Studios was founded in 2004, and is based in Finchley, North London. Prior to starting Rocksteady, Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill worked at Argonaut Games, one of the UK largest independent developers as creative director and head of production respectively.

The company's first release was the action shooter Urban Chaos: Riot Response (2006). Their second title was Batman: Arkham Asylum, a third-person action game based on the Batman comics license. This was the start of the Arkham series of games.

The studio was acquired by Time Warner in 2010, making them a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
