Runic Games, Inc. was a US game development studio founded by Travis Baldree, Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer and Peter Hu following the closure of Flagship Studios. It was first announced on 8th August 2008 and consists of the team that worked on Mythos at Flagship. It is headed by Travis Baldree and Max Schaefer.
The company's first release was Torchlight in October 2009.
The company's closure was announced by Perfect World Entertainment on 3 November 2017.
