Owen K. Garriott (November 22, 1930 â April 15, 2019) was an American astronaut who was in space two times: aboard Skylab in 1973 and aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia on the Spacelab-1 mission in 1983. He was the father of Richard and Robert Garriott., and co-founder of ORIGIN Systems, Inc. with his sons.
