Developer Biography

Before he joined Presto Studios, Farshid Almassizadeh worked for several years as an independent contractor specializing in multimedia development. His client list included InterNetwork, MOOV design, GTE ImagiTrek and Radius, where he was the lead animator on the Rocket Home Companion CD-ROM.

While he was a senior at the University of California at San Diego, pursuing degrees in theater arts and cognitive science, he began a career at Presto Studios as Co-Founder and Vice-President of Production and Director of Technologies.

He started as Lead Animator and Programmer of The Journeyman Project and became Project Manager for The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time, Gundam 0079, Beneath (not released), and Stephen King's F13.

As a popular lecturer at industry conferences, seminars and universities, Almassizadeh helped to grow Presto Studios into a successful software company, forging partnerships with such industry powerhouses as Activision, Mattel, Apple and Microsoft.

In 2001, he joined Intrinsic Graphics Inc. (Mountain View, Calif.), a developer of next-generation graphics software environments, as director of Developer Relations. A year later he founded emcStudios, LLC, a console-based entertainment development studio located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Calif. Currently he is COO, EA Interactive at EA (2011).
