One of the best Amiga games ever made

The Good
A huge game which requires just as much thought and strategy as it does platform-leaping action. Make your way through the four levels - the seashore, dank caves, a mighty temple and the evil Captain Redbeard's fortress - in order to find and rescue all your crew. There are countless secret passages, treasures and surprises to be found. The backgrounds are atmospheric and nicely-detailed, whilst the villains and varied dangerous animals are well-animated. One of the most addictive games I've ever come across, and one which makes me long for the days of the Amiga.

The Bad
No complaints at all.

The Bottom Line
This is a platform puzzle game in which you must find your way through four giant levels, freeing your crew from their cells before escaping the island. You can pick up and move objects such as wooden crates, in order to jump to previously unreachable areas, and you will need to find keys to unlock the many doors around the place (the keys come in four colours, and each will unlock only doors of the same colour). You'll also need to use varied other objects dotted around, and you can buy health-restoring food and extra weapons from a storekeeper by the use of treasure hidden about the area. There are quite a few underwater areas, and numerous baddies who become increasingly deadly in each level.
