Due to the extremely graphic nature of the game, for the PS4 and PS5 versions, Sony made requests to the developer to make certain changes to the game to tone it down. Some changes include making certain interactive parts into cutscenes and editing dialogue. This version of the game also has a fully-censored mode that the player can select which will entirely skip over the parts that Sony found objectionable.
