What Atlantis?

The Good
Graphics are not so bad and there are some puzzles that awakes your brain .

The Bad
The plot (very classic), a lot of puzzles that only takes your time. The ending (the lack of it). Overall nothing new in this game.

The Bottom Line
The Secrets of Atlantis: The Sacred Legacy is a point-and-click adventure game which takes place just before the Second World War.

The action takes place in various spots, like a zeppelin, the Empire State Building in New York or on some places around the world. But you are not going to see anything of Atlantis there.

It seems interesting, but it's not so much. First, I get bored in the skyscraper where for futile reasons I must solve some very unlike situations. You spend about one third of the game there.

The puzzles aren't very difficult, but some takes a long time. They are quite standard, it's even a sudoku-like one. Some puzzles are only time-consuming like the poker game. You can think that's a question of luck or strategy, but it's not. Your cards and those on the table are always the same and your opponents have the cards changed by your decisions (to raise or to follow the bet). So you must spend quite a long time to be able to see what it takes to win. Not too bright.

The game is somewhat beautiful with a cartoon-like style from time to time, but I got annoyed with the “right click on the right spot at the right time” scheme. There aren't many beautiful places to see.

The end has given me the impression that the game should finish somewhat and the developers didn't find anything better to fit their time-limited project.

Maybe the name of the game is misleading, I think it should be something like: “Finding a way to Atlantis without a GPS”. I didn't like this game so much, but it's not a bad game. You can spend a few hours on it if you are really bored. But don't expect a game with a real plot or even with humor and bright dialogs.

I saw that others gave this game a 3 from 5. That's my opinion, too.
