Rail Simulator
Description
Rail Simulator is a simulation where the player controls trains. The three difficulty levels are for players of all expertise - and this is to be taken literally because there is no tutorial: novices just need to control the speed while professionals control every small detail themselves. The player can use his mouse to press all the buttons and pull all the levers himself or use the keyboard to do the job.
In the free playing mode the player has the choice between several trains (diesel, electric or steam; modern and historical ones) and four courses, every one about 150 km long: Oxford - Paddington (2005), Bath Green Park - Templecomb (1955), Newcastle - York (1970s) and Hagen – Siegen (late 1990s). There are also 15 missions where the player need to solve traditional (like transporting goods) and unusual (like transporting British soccer fans) tasks.
