Time to destroy the city - 50s style

The Good
In the 50's....In movies, was a very specific genre - American movies "SF", class C-Z. It was simple - any big danger began to smash the city. It was often invader from outer space - mainly UFOs or big robots. Almost all these movies were terribly trashy, but fun so characteristic, that even today this trend has many devoted fans. In the games once in a while trying to give the climate - one example is, for example, Stubbs The Zombie, and others Attack of the 50ft Robot!. You play as a giant robot (led in TPP) and demolish American city. Of course, pretty soon the army comes into play. Tanks and helicopters are trying to make life difficult for us. After some time, the spacecraft "IndependenceDay-like" enters into battlefield. Pretty impressive, and it is quite difficult to destroy. Great atmosphere, great job. Our robot is heavy armed and dangerous. It is a gigantic and so heavy that the run is able to demolish a building, and he can throw off vehicles and pieces of buildings. Besides, Robot has yet simple punch limb - it is interesting and it can shoot - and shoot laser from eye in head. It's a real killing machine, even if the army is not able to defeat it. The graphics are excellent. Styled "black and white" cinema, with the addition of red, is part of the perfectly atmosphere of the game. Nay, even graphic is part form- for example, a characteristic dirty of the filter roll of film. Music is another matter. is perfect and really match overall game. You can listen to especially the initial part, but later, more powerful tune is not bad.

The Bad
The game would be better rated, but unfortunately it has one very serious problem - it is extremely short. I finished it in 15 minutes! Ok, the game has a mode of "endless roll," but it's not enough. But ... In another case, the player would feel the monotony soon, because the game does not introduce many new elements. There is also no multiplayer - although it is freeware, so you can forgive the little thing. Another fault - the map is quite small and stupid limited flat buildings.

The Bottom Line
Attack of the 50ft Robot! is a fun game, giving the feel of how great to be a big robot attacking American town.Only a few games allow this demolition, so already has a plus for originality. However, the "length" of the game and not enough new elements in it are big drawbacks. Overall I would recommend this game.
