You get to kill "yourself" in this game... In MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, you were playing as Ian Dresari. In Black Knight, one of the missions was to kill Ian Dresari, while other missions deal with his lancemates.
As in MW4, FASA Interactive made its way into this game as well. This time, the building is classified as a neutral.

Online servers

The game's online servers (which were hosted on MSN Gaming Zone) were shut down on 19 June 2006 in the wake of MSN Games' shift from "CD-ROM matchmaking service" to casual online games.
