A well laid-out flight simulator for the aviation enthusiast!

The Good
Flight Unlimited II was tested on a Gateway 3522 laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, and is one of the recent additions I found from a thrift store. In this edition, you pilot a civilian aircraft throughout San Francisco, one of the largest cities in California in the United States. The Pilot Voices are new in this edition, and you can select from five of them before your flight in the options screen!

For beginners, a quick flight option is available. This allows you to plan your flight immediately without having to go to the airport section of the game, which is really cool! During your flight, you can use the intercom to communicate to the Air Traffic Controllers, which is a pretty amazing feature if you know what I mean!

Realism options can always be adjusted before a flight is planned. Several Force Feedback-compatible Joysticks are supported in this game.

The Bad
On Windows 7, a couple of stability problems are always noticeable, (e.g. when you launch the game a second time) and seems to be unfixable at the moment. On Windows XP, it worked better without any issues.

The Bottom Line
Flight Unlimited II is a well laid out flight simulator, even for aviation enthusiasts! The only downside when running on Windows 7 is the rare chance of stability problems, but that's normal! All in all, you'll be flying in San Francisco on your own in no time flat, and you don't need to go there in real life just to watch the planes go by! Highly recommended!
