Bullet Run

Bullet Run is a fast-paced first-person shooter in which the player takes the role of a contestant in the ultimate reality TV show. Players advance their characters by earning Heat in online matches. Heat is a measure of the audience's excitement; the more dazzling and risky the move, the more Heat is earned and the more rewards will be earned after the match. Players level up and can unlock powerful new abilities as they progress, as well as customise their characters with thousands of sexy, stylish or just plain weird clothing options. The game is free to play with a microtransaction system.

There are three types of matches: Team Deathmatch, Dominion and Search & Destroy. In all of them, teams Polaris and Sirius fight each other for fame and glory. Team Deathmatch pits the two against each other in a "no rules" slaughter fest where only the death count matters. Whichever team has the most kills when the time runs out wins the match. In Dominion the teams vie for two control points as attackers and defenders. In the first half of the match, the defenders must prevent the attackers from taking over the control points. To do that, the attackers need to sit in a control zone for a limited time. The roles are reversed in the second half. The team that took over the most control points as attackers wins. Search & Destroy is a variation of Dominion, since the teams take turns as defenders and attackers for a set number of rounds. The attackers must plant a bomb and make sure that it goes off in the objective zones or kill all the defenders. The defenders must either defuse the bomb or kill all the attackers in order to score a round. Players have only one life per round here, compared to infinite respawns in the other two modes. The team that wins the most rounds wins.

Besides Heat, the players earn credits based on their performances during the matches. They can use these credits to rent weapons or taunts for a limited time, buy clothing and accessories, upgrade skills etc. Another option is to use real money to perform all purchases. Not all weapons and upgrades can be acquired immediately. Most of them must first be unlocked by reaching the required level. Level 50 is the maximum a player can reach.

To have an advantage over the other contestants in Bullet Run, one must employ the available skills. There is a total of eight skills divided into four tiers, and only one skill per tier can be used at a time. During a match, the skill tiers can't be used from the get-go and are unlocked one by one, as more Heat is gathered for kills and other feats. The eight skills are divided into the following way:

• Tier 1: Medigel (injection that partially restores Health); Endorphex (injection that gives temporary speed and low vulnerability, but only melee attacks are allowed).
• Tier 2: Akimbo (dual-wielding guns); Neurofang (mobile trap that stops an enemy from moving).
• Tier 3: T6 Defender (turret); Blastdrone (remote-controlled flying bomb).
• Tier 4: Minigat (minigun / gattling gun); Mortar.
