Castles of Adventure

Moby ID: 64892

Description

Castles of Adventure is an top-down adventure game where the player explores environments such as grasslands, forests, dungeons, buildings and lakes in a search for treasure. To complete each level, the player must find and collect all the treasure pieces. Along the way the player can come upon locked doors that require finding a key, statues that block the way and can be pushed around, secret passages, and teleporters. There are two special items that can be found, the "Lumberjack's Axe" which allows chopping down trees in the player's way, and the "Boots of Water Walking". There are no enemies of any kind or dangers in the game, though it's possible to get stuck in a dead end without a way to exit.

The game comes with three mapsets, each of them consisting of a sequence of levels connected by a simple storyline. It is also possible to play a standalone map. The game includes a level editor, allowing the player to create his own maps and connect them into mapsets.
