Taxi Challenge: Berlin
Description
Taxi Challenge Berlin is very similar in concept to Crazy Taxi. The gameplay is nearly identical, except that in Taxi Challenge Berlin you must play 21 missions before getting the 3/5/10 minute runs.
You are a taxi driver in Berlin, the German capital, and you need to get money. So you drive around on the (more or less) authentic streets of Berlin, and when you see a pedestrian with a colored Euro (€) sign above his head, you can stop next to him and pick him up. He will tell you where he wants to go, and you drive him there. To get orientation, you have a large arrow which points in the right direction as well as a (very small) map.

Crazy Taxi for Windows? Well... sort of...
The Good
Well, it's basically Crazy Taxi for Windows, which is good since Sega never bothered to port it. It has exactly the same game features plus the mission mode as well as some more taxis/drivers. But this is where the good stuff ends...
The Bad
Why did they come up with that NOW? The graphics look like crap - blocky, dull buildings, jerky animated pedestrians which always try to dive before your taxi, textures which don't deserve the name... bah! The sound may or may not be appealing to you - it wasn't to me - but the worst thing here are the slow motion controls. Turning the cab around a corner is so damn slow, if you don't start the turn way before the corner, you'll definitely collide with the next building. You never get the real driving feeling as all cabs have exactly the same crap controls. By the way, the car doesn't get visually damaged even after the worst crashes. And the game isn't too fast even on my P4/1500...
The Bottom Line
If you want a good game where you can drive taxi - buy Grand Theft Auto III, as it's the best real-world driving-action game to date and features a Taxi Driver mode. And since you get great graphics, great sound, great damage models, great pedestrian smashing, great police chases plus tons of other stuff to do, I would save the 25 Euros for this crappy game here and buy GTA3 :)

Addictive, but could be better
The Good
It's a very addictive game, and both my children can't get enough of it: Especially the heavy crashes in the VW Golf GTI.. GTA3 is the only thing which comes near it, but this is too violent for my kids. (the "hidden" tank in TCB is more destructive, but somehow less violent)
The Bad
It requires quite a fast videocard to play this game, and the cheats should be made more easily.
The Bottom Line
Very suitable for young children, fastpaced (addictive) racegame for teenagers. Can't wait for it's sequal, "Taxi Challenge London".

Trivia
MegaCity Challenge
A slightly modified version of Taxi Challenge Berlin was released under the title of MegaCity Challenge, probably targetted at the international market. The changes include: * Some distinctive buildings of Berlin, such as the Brandenburger Tor, have been changed to more generic versions. * The taxi drivers have different, less German-sounding names. * The names of streets and landmarks have been replaced with generic English versions ("Unter den Linden" becomes "Excelsior Avenue", etc.). * Some textures, such as on the player cars, have been changed. * There is a different soundtrack selection.
All other aspects of the games, most notably the entire city layout and the missions to be accomplished, are identical. Nonetheless, some publishers have re-released both games separately. For example, Selectsoft Publishing is offering the games as Extreme Taxi: Berlin and Extreme Taxi: USA respectively.
