Funky Lab Rat
Description
Funky Lab Rat is a puzzle platformer about Diego, a lab rat who attempts to escape from the testing facility where he has been locked up. From the main hub, eleven different worlds can be selected with over 80 levels in total. Each level consists of a single screen where Diego needs to exit through a door. Levels have a rating from one to three based on the puzzle difficulty and the skill difficulty. Pills are scattered around the screen and these need to be collected, as they act as a currency to keep unlocking new levels and to earn a bronze, silver or gold medal, and eventually also platinum medals.
Diego can be move around freely and he can also jump. Using a flashlight he chases away clouds that obscure pills or parts of the level. Many puzzles are based on physics with moving platforms, trampolines and creating your own platforms. He also has access to a number of time powers. At any moment the action can be frozen. In addition to planning your next move, freezing time is used to grab objects, create new platforms etc. before unfreezing the game. Another time ability allows him to rewind time, to undo mistakes. Many levels have gaps and when Diego dies the entire level needs to be started over. More difficult levels impose restrictions on the use of time powers.
